This is my second time giving this workout program a try. The first time I tried this program, I hated it. I did not get past the first two weeks. I thought the workouts were not effective at all. I was not sore after any of the workouts. I did not break a sweat during these workouts. I decided that this program was not for me.
Fast forward to this year. I haven't worked out in months. And I had a couple of people reach out to me about this program so I decided that it was time to give it another try.
Week 1.
The workouts were not difficult at all. But this time around, I was a little sore after one of the workouts but not much. Thinking back on it, it may have just been in my head that I was sore. I completed week one with no problem. Well, not any problem. There are some problems with how this workout is written. Like I mentioned in my previous post, there are no warm-ups or cool downs included with these workouts. Which I think sucks. Then the number of reps on some of the workouts are off. Like how do you do 10 reps of a high plank? Anyway, not a deal-breaker but aggravating. Some days I didn't even bother to do a warm-up. And other days I forgot to stretch.
Week 2.
Week 2 workouts are the same workouts from week one. Uhhh! Week 2 was hard to get through. Halfway through the week, I quit. Yes. I quit again. I just could not do another week of these workouts.
Week 3.
A couple of days after quitting at week 2, I decided to continue with the program. But instead of starting over, or picking up where I left off, I started week 3. I have to admit, week 3 was better. The number of sets and reps increased and there were new workouts which I really liked. But after completing week 3 I decided to stop doing the program. Why I quit the program.
The biggest reason why I stopped the program was that I just didn't think that these workouts were effective for me. Like these workouts barely made me sweat and I was barely burning any calories.
Another reason why I stopped the program was because of the problems with the program. No warm-up. No cool down. The number of reps was off. Like I know that that's not a big deal, but I just couldn't get past it. I am a by-the-book, black or white, no grey area type of person. So for this program not to provide a warm-up or cool down and have errors in the number of reps was a deal-breaker for me. But those are just my thoughts. The next person might find this program was effective for them. Someone else might think that this program was great. It just wasn't great for me.
On to the next workout program. If you know of a good workout program, let me know in the comments.
