My mom called me early this morning and said, “Your dad has gone fish crazy!”
Now, this is where it gets crazy. A day later, my mom said that she and my dad were sitting in the living room that morning and she mentioned that it would be cool to add fish tanks (aquariums) on the side of the aquarium that they already have. You know, the one where the SIX crabs currently live. Well, of course, my dad thought that this was a great idea. My mom showed him some pictures online of examples and the rest is history.
Now keep in my that my dad is the type of person that once he sets his mind on something, it’s pretty much gonna get done that same day.
So pops went to the store, bought not one but two aquariums and accessories for them both, measured the aquariums, measured the spots on the wall where he wanted to place the aquariums to the size of the aquariums, got out his tools, cut the holes in the wall, built stands for both aquariums out of 2 by 4's to support the weight of the aquariums when filled with water, put the accessories in the aquariums, put the stands in place, put the aquariums in place in the wall, filled them both up with water, and added crown molding to the outside of all 3 aquariums. Whew!
The fish craze started earlier this week when pops discovered that they had crabs for the at home fish aquarium. Well, he just had to have them. He purchased two of them that day. After getting home and adding them to his aquarium, he woke up the next morning and decided that two crabs were just not enough. So he went back to the store and purchased FOUR more. Yes. Four more crabs to add to his collection.
I have to admit, when my mom first told me that my dad bought crabs for the aquarium, I thought that it was crazy and ridiculous. But after seeing the pictures, I think it’s kind of cool. But don’t tell them I said that.
