Detox Week 2

After the embarrassment of last week, I got my act together this week! Let's geaux!

Detox My Mind!
  1. No Reality TV. - I did not watch any reality TV. I didn't watch TV at all!
  2. No Social Media. - Does YouTube count? If not, I did not get on any social media at all!
  3. Do Something For Me. - Nailed it again. This week I spent my time reading books and looking into some things that I was interested in. I also searched the web for my next DIY.
Detox My Body!
  1. Eat Clean. - I meal prepped for my fiancé and I this week. And I ate everything I prepared.
  2. Workout. - I worked out 5 times this week. Maybe 6.
  3. Drink Water. - Water, water, water, water, water. Gulp!
 Detox My Soul!
  1. Go To Church. - I went to church! And the message was, "Don't get distracted, stay focused!"
  2. Go To Bible Study. - Sadly, I missed bible study again this week.
  3. Live The Word. - I plan to stay focused!
Wow! It's amazing how much shorter my post is when I actually did what I set out to do. One of the biggest differences that I noticed in myself this week verses last week is that I was in a different space mentally. I think that finally going to church just brought about a can-do attitude. Honestly, this week was so busy that I really didn't have time to think about fried chicken and chocolate.

Quick story. I weigh myself every single morning. It has become part of my daily routine. I weigh myself right after I brush my teeth every single morning.  Monday, I weighed a certain weight. Tuesday, I weighed the exact same thing. Wednesday, I only weighed .4 pounds less than I did the day before. At this point, I am highly upset because I am working so hard. I am eating right and working out. I should have lost more weight by now. This is the point where I would usually give in and have chocolate and fried chicken. I thought to myself, the number on the scale is just a distraction. So, I stuck with my clean eating and workouts. Well the next morning, I weighed 1.4 pounds less than the day before. Now that's what I'm talking about. I lost a total of 4 pounds this week. Success!

Two weeks down. Two to go!
