Detox Week 1





 This week was more of a challenge than I originally thought it would be. Let's jump right in.

Detox My Mind!
  1. No Reality TV. - I couldn’t have started this at a worse time. This was the week that the final episode of Love and Hip Hop played. This was the week when Basketballwives heated up. I just couldn't not watch Basketballwives, so I watched it. 😩 I really did not mean to watch it. See what happened was, I went to my DVR playlist to make sure it was recorded, and somehow, it just started playing. And I just started watching. What else was I supposed to do?
  2. No Social Media. - The most I did with social media this week was get on Facebook to log out of my account. I finally did log out about 2 hours after I got on. I clearly need help y'all.
  3. Do Something For Me. - Of course, I nailed this one. I accomplished a personal goal that I set for myself earlier this year. It's amazing what you can accomplish when you actually make the time for it.
Detox My Body!
  1. Eat Clean. - I meal prepped for the entire week for my fiancé and I. I ate out 3 days this week. Can you say no willpower? I really don’t understand what happened. The more I tried to force myself to do the right thing, the more I wanted fried chicken and chocolate. Dom, on the other hand, stuck with the meal plan and probably lost 8 pounds!
  2. Workout. - I worked out every day! Go me.
  3. Drink Water. - Another one for the win. I have this water drinking thing down packed.
Detox My Soul!
  1. Go To Church. - Sadly, I missed church this week.
  2. Go To Bible Study. - Would you be surprised if I told you that I missed bible study too? 
  3. Live The Word. - Being that I received no word this week, it's living as usual for me.
     After reflecting on this week, I told myself I had to do better next week. I even thought about just restarting the whole 30-day detox. I mean, what would you do if you announced to the world that you were doing this detox and fail miserably? But I will not give up! I can do this!
